The British Indian Surgical Association (BISA) is excited to introduce our upcoming Four-part Orthopaedics and Plastics tutorial series, designed to provide comprehensive, high-yield content on key surgical topics. Each session will be delivered in a highly interactive format to enhance your learning experience.


Our Orthopaedics tutorial will be led by Dr. Trivedi, focusing on the fundamental principles of orthopaedics, including:

·       Septic arthritis

·       Open fractures

·       Compartment syndrome

·       Osteoarthritis

·       Bone tumours


All sessions will incorporate Single Best Answer (SBA) questions and clinical case studies to encourage active engagement and discussion. The BISA academic content team will also provide take-home revision materials to ensure you have valuable resources for further study.

In this session, we will dive into the essential anatomy and physiology of the shoulder, elbow, hand, and wrist, along with discussions on clinical conditions, including:

·       Rotator cuff tears

·       Shoulder dislocations

·       Common fractures of the upper limb

Join us for the final session of the British Indian Surgical Association's (BISA) Orthopaedics Teaching Series!


Lower Limb Session

This session will cover the detailed anatomy and physiology of the spine, hip, knee, and ankle, alongside a focus on key clinical conditions such as:

  • Cauda Equina syndrome

  • Neck of femur (NOF) fractures

  • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears


Featuring Single Best Answer (SBA) questions and clinical case studies, this interactive tutorial will reinforce essential knowledge for managing lower limb conditions. Attendees will also receive take-home revision materials to aid in their continued learning.


BISA Surgical Teaching Series: Orthopaedics and Plastics Tutorials with Dr. Trivedi (4/4)

We are equally excited to announce our Plastics tutorial, also led by Dr. Trivedi. This session will cover essential topics in plastics, providing you with practical knowledge for clinical application.
