The British Indian Surgical Association (BISA) is the surgical wing of the BIMA that was founded by Siddarth Raj and Amar Rai alongside BIMA co-founders, Harroop Bola and Viren Rathod, in December 2020. At BISA, we work with leading consultants and trainees to provide high quality education and career-oriented content for aspiring surgeons.
Sarika is this year’s National Lead for BISA. She is a final year medical student at King’s College London. Her vision for BISA is to continue to solidify and grow the community that this society created last year, and expand the networking opportunities available to all medical professionals. She is extremely passionate about medical education and is looking forward to overseeing the production of multiple events. This year, she is excited to start hosting in-person events, including surgical skills workshops, as well as execute a surgical conference, she is looking forward to helping others become passionate, more confident and more informed about a career in surgery.
